Mac-Hire was founded at the beginning of 1996 by Mac Chappell, and is a UK based company in Somerset.  After 20 years of groundworks and plant hire and 6 years as a freelance machine operator for many local companies.

Mac-Hire is a registered contractor with Somerset County Council and can carry out groundworks of all sizes, demolitions, land drainage, concreting and tarmac.

Plant Hire Diggers, JCBs, Dumpers

 We can supply a range of excavators and assosiated equipment to suit your needs, diggers and dumpers of all sizes, small enough to go through a standard doorway and big enough to cope with the largest of jobs.

 Micro diggers range from ¾ t to 1.5t and are usually used where access is limited; we have dumpers and breakers to compliment this size machines. Mini diggers range from 2t to 4t and midi diggers are 6 and 7 ½ t and can be hired with the appropriate size equipment to suit.

 All diggers can be hired with breakers, augers etc.

 JCB 3CX with breaker and operator if required is also available.

Our dumpers come in all shapes and sizes. Narrow access high tip dumpers, which can discharge directly in to a skip; tracked dumpers, which can work on steep gradients or in very soft ground; swivel skip dumpers to allow tipping where there is no room to turn and up to 10t dumpers for the largest of jobs.
